Real Steel star launches coffee shop for charity.
Actor Hugh Jackman has opened a coffee shop in New York to raise money for charity.
The coffee shop is part of the Laughing Man philanthropy brand which Jackman co-founded with friends Barry and David Steingard.
The Australian actor - best known for his role as Wolverine in the X-Men movies - is also a long-term supporter of the charity World Vision, an international development agency...
It was during a trip to Ethiopia as an ambassador for World Vision that Jackman was inspired to go on to develop his coffee business - whilst meeting an Ethiopian coffee farmer, Dukale...
The visit in 2009 involved Jackman living and working on a coffee farm and he became aware of the difficulties facing farmers and wanted to help...
The organisers have subsequently described the project's aims as forming global partnerships: supporting ethical entrepreneurs, job creation and charity...
The new store sells tea, coffee and chocolates with profits to charity while Laughing Man also sells accessories and gifts.
